What year parts will fit?

I have a 1982 Bronco and I need/want to swap out the rear axle, what years will fit from other Broncos or F150's?

Also my truck isa 6 cylinder, 4 speed with granny low, what year automatic trans/transfer case will fit?

The quick answer is 78-96.

You could swap the axle from a 73-96 F150 as well.

any 9" ford rear axle from f 150, f 100 and earlier bronco's as well as some of the cars, as long as the spring and shock mounts are the same will fit.

As for transmission/ transfercase combo, any auto tranny/ transfercase from a 300, 302, or 351 W with the smallblock pattern will fit. as long as you don't get the electronic ones, unless you set up your truck for the electronic overdirve, or electronic 4wd system.
