I think that Hurst might possibly make the Duff shifters...ever lay them side by side? They are almost identical. The parts can interchange. What ever you do, don't get the speed shifter or you will be locking the shift rails up all the time. Ask me how I know that one

Running the Hurst in my 76. Works well. Only beefs- When putting into park u can break a piece of the front housing out in ya slam it to hard. (It's only plastic) Shift pattern can get kinda annoying if shifting from D to R a lot.

I think that question is directed at me.....
I've had 6 EB's & this is the one I kept., if that tells ya anything.. ^_^
Flys down the frwy. & always the rig folks try to out do out in the dirt.
However., headers & 456's, I'm sure, come into play as well.

I woudn't balk at taking a 6-banger. Better gas mileage than the V8 and they are bullet proof. You don't have the snap your head acceleration, but why would you want it in an EB...you get the snap your head torque though ;)
