302w/2bbl. carb adjustment?

my bronco will not idle. itruns as long as you pad the pedal but cuts off when you let off the gas. any suggestions?

The accelerator pump is working & suppling fuel 'til you stop pumping.
-------- (unclear what "pad" the pedal means) ----
If the adj. screws on the lower front of carb. aren't doing anything..., chances are there's debris in the idle circuit...& poss. in the main jets as well.
