We updated the Chat room to tell you how many people are in there at any given time, everyone should decide on a time to try to get in there like at 7 Eastern, 10 Pacific time or something.

Have used it since the update, that was a good change.

Parts replacement is not trouble shooting, replacement follows trouble shooting

Broncos are MPVs not SUVs

Engines run on fuel, or steam

Motors run on electricity, hydraulic fluid, vacuum, or air

IS there a way to set an audio signal that someone has entered the room?

I'm on now (8 PM CDT). I suggest looking at the chat room counter to see if anyone is online whenever they are viewing the boards. I'll be online from 8 PM-11 PM weekdays, unless i have a meeting out of town, or go offshore again, or have a poker game, etc. JSM84

Yo,
Not many use this chat session.
Hope to have our son mow the lawn this morning, the John Deere RX 75 is still running strong after 28 years.
Have a great Sunday!

Yo Dewman69,
Welcome!
I will try to move this to the 80-96 Ford Bronco Tech Support section for better visibility. So far, I have failed twice.

Try a Self Test for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)s by my pal, BroncoJoe19 @ http://broncozone.co...d-off/?p=131701
A helper should assist you.
Do test 2 or 3 tines to ensure accuracy.
Ask local mom & pop parts stores if they can loan you a code scanner. Some do with refundable deposit.

Some basics;
The engine temperature must be greater than 50° F for the Key On Engine Off (KOEO) Self-Test and greater than 180° F for the Key On Engine Running (KOER) Self-Test.

Heat the engine up.
Make sure A/C is off and transmission is in Park (automatic); or in Neutral for a Manual & release clutch.
Then turn off engine, all accessories/lights (close driver's door) , etc.

Do KOEO test First

Post Code(s) here according to:
KOEO
&
KOER
...

Was IAC Valve (aka Idle Air Bypass (IAB)) checked and it and it's passageways cleaned under the throttle body? Here is a test and overview @ http://www.fuelinjec...com/page39.html

Assuming ita C6 automatic transmission. Check vacuum line to the C6 transmission's, (if equipped) vacuum modulator at rear of tranny on passenger's side.
Pull the vacuum line off the modulator. If fluid comes out of the vacuum line your modulator needs to be replaced. Ensure there is ~15-20 in-Hg vacuum at the line from the intake vacuum tree.
...

See my vacuum leak test in post #20 @ http://broncozone.co...de-44/?p=125535
...

Air filter, is it relatively clean?

Air inlet atop radiator support to filter box and to throttle body; look for obstruction; damaged tubing.

Fuel quality; Oxidized fuel often turns darker over time and may even smell sour. You can check stored gasoline by pouring some into a clear glass container and comparing it side-by-side with known fresh gasoline. If your old sample looks noticeably darker than the fresh gas, you have strong evidence the gas has gone bad.

Electrical connectors; inspect at coil, firewall, PCM, etc. especially those with broken locking tabs.
