Hello guys!

First of all, im from sweden, but iīll do my best to make me understood..

Im building a ford 32 Roadster and im going to use a rear axle from a -79 bronco (9" , 31 splines)

on my axle the "housing" isnīt centerd, proably because it comes of a 4x4? so the right driveshaft needs to be shortened about 4 inches/10cm (or changed)

So, my question is: how long are the left and right driveshafts? i was hoping i maybe could use two lefties.

Best regards
Martin

edit: i dont even know if itīs called driveshafts.. i hope you understand what i mean.

That rear end should be centered from the get go. Did someone altered it to begin with? I would imagine that if you are putting that axle under a roadster it would need to be cut down anyway because the FSB is quite a bit wider than your 32 is. I know on the Early Broncos the axle width is 56" and the 9" does have one short axle, but that is for the spider gears inside of the housing. One axle shaft will go in further than the other because the gear cluster is offset, but the housing it'self should be centered.
