I asked months ago about how to adjust my shift linkage on my’96 351Windsor. The shift indicator was sensitive to the position it was in. If in “solid drive “ position it would start and remain in 2nd gear. I had to tap it up slightly to start on 1st great.
There’s a simple adjustment in the linkage cable near the drive train. If anyone is having this issue I’ll post pictures of the mechanism. I’m out of town so it will be a few weeks.
