Well I thought it was the fuel pump but it was not problem still happening.

I have put a brand new motor in, New fuel pump, new filter, new throttle air-bypass valve, as I am driving it seems like truck gets to normal operating tempature and stalls. I have to wait a few mins and restart it and pray that I get home. Starting to get frustrated after all the money I have put into it and listening to my wife complain because she is stranded at the house. The check engine has not come on at all can I still pull codes??

try the fuel pump relay, that can be intermittant, its on the drivers side, under the hood on the fender well

My understanding is that the codes will still be there even if the engine light hasn't come on yet.

Yes one can pull codes without the CEL lit.

My neighbor is gonna let me use his code scanners so I can see whats going on.

I put the code reader on the truck did not pull any codes. I happened to check under the distributer cap and noticed the points and the rotor were badly burnt and scared so I replaced that with new msd parts. I ran the truck for about 30 minutes it did not stall on me, do not know if that could have been the problem. So I called the shop that put the remaned engine in. The part of the shop that does the 4x4 customizing is still there but the mechanics shop went out of business so I am waiting to found out if I still have a warranty.
