I am putting Black Betty up for sale. I REALLY dont want to sell it but when the brake line went, I dont have the means to repair it. Truck runs great. only known problems are the hubs need swapping out, passenger side brake line needs replacing, tear in drivers seat. Interior is in good condition with the exception of drivers seat. It has gray leather interior. It has no brakes so would need to be flatbeded out of here. Asking $3000 or best offer. Let me know

That is georgious. Looks like the one I am rebuilding. I wish I was closer to ya. I have a brake line that would work and two hubs here off of my 94. --Vince

It is a shame, did I mention that there is virtually no rust? Tailgate is clear of any rust, no rust in wheel wells either, the only place there is any form of corrosion at all is a small dime size on the hood. I am the second owner, has not been in an accident or repainted.

The pictures say 1000 words, you dont have to say anymore to sell it. If I had the slightest chance of being able to pick it up i would be all over it like a fat kid on a smarty. That is a sweet looking truck

Hey I'm a fat kid and I don't like Smarties.....................................I love Them!

Oh and are those some clean lokking 15 inch Mickey Thompson Challenger wheels that I can not find for the life of me or am I seeing things?

You are correct. Those are the Mickey Thompson wheels. Very difficult to get. I cant find one for the spare, so I use the original wheel. I really dont want to get rid of her, but I just dont have the ability to take care her.

Ok update. My truck is now up for sale to best offer. I am parting it out. It is not drive worthy. I had the local ford dealership look at it to fix the brake line. They called today to tell me that they wont work it. There are too many things wrong under the body. All the brake lines need replacing, the transmission lines are brittle and about to go, power steering lines are shot, the complete chassis is rusted through, rear shackles are about to break, etc. Everything under the body is rusted through. It is amazing to me because the body is so good. No rust on the body. The 351 motor runs very strong, and has mickey thomson rims. If I dont hear from one of ya'll by Monday (10 Nov 08) it is going to the junk yard to be put to rest.

Oh man that sucks big time sad.gif
I wish I had a the cash as I would be interested in the tailgate, nerf bars, inside door panels and door wiring harness.
How much would you be looking to get for those items??? Mostly interested in the panels and wiring...

Just saw that post about the junk yard. Do you still have it? I am interested in those wheels, tires too if decent.

Update, I had an offer for $800 for my truck, and they will flatbed it out of here in 2 weeks. So unless I hear from someone on here who might want it, I am going to sell it. I can tell you that what needs immediate attention are the brake and transmission lines. Then its driveable.

Have you sold this or otherwise gotten rid of it? I would be interested in the wheels and tires if you are willing to ship...how much $$ do you want for them?

oh, and just an FYI...4 years ago I had my 98 pickup into a local Ford dealer for a minor thing, and they gave me a $5000 estimate for a bunch of things (seems like a very similar list to what you got) and I told them to kick rocks...4 years later, she is still running fine and hasn't fallen apart. I did have to fix a brake line or two and some suspension parts, but beyond that, nothing else that was on their list of things to do has given me any issues.
