this is probably second nature to most of you but i've never ran across this before. i dont know which wires go to what on this starter relay. sombody stole the relay and just clipped all the old wires. i thought i had it figured out but i got in the truck to start it and got nothing. i've looked through my hanes and it was pretty vauge. its an 84 if that helps.

I should have a pic from my 86 Bronco, with the same problem of 'bad' wiring. The + cable from the battery goes to the nearside big post on the solenoid, and the starter cable goes to the opposite side. The fusable links also go on the battery side large terminal. The key ignition start wire with the red boot that activates the solnoid goes to the small terminal near the battery. JSM84

okay thats what i thought and thats how i did it but still no sign of life. The trucks at a friends house so i guess i will have to double check everything when i can get up there.
