hi im nathan my water pump seal is starting to go it leaks out of a hole at the bottom of the pump the bearings are fine it doesnt seem to wobble any but do you think i can get away with jb welding the hole closed ? i dont normaly half ass stuff but i cant afford it this is for an 88 4.9 liter 6cly by the way thanks

hey that peep hole that you're talking when it starts to leak it usually means the pump is about to go out you can get a reman water pump for about 20 dollars at carquest i hope that helps

ya you don't want to be sealing that hole with jb weld

like oldtimer said it's what indicates that you're water pump is toast. the bearings inside are no longer working properly

the cooling system is a vital component to your truck.

REPLACE THE PUMP
