Well the time has come, i need to unload my baby. With a new Xterra for the wife and the mustang i bought i just dont need it sitting in the driveway anymore. I'll get sum updated pics when i can but it has rust in all the usual spots. has new rear leafsprings, and brackets. They are allitle big for it but Ford does not make them anymore. i have owned cence 2000 and with 69,000 miles on it. I have changed the oil every 2-3000 miles useing 15-W40 castrol GTX. This engine is CLEAN!! inside in out. Not one oil leak in eng, transmission. Transmission fluid and filter just changed before i took off road. Shifts great.
pros: see sigtnature, all new stearing tierods 1year before i took off road. about 10-15k on 32inch BFG allterrain TA's. factory wheels. polk-audio speakers included but needs radio. New rear drums, shoes, brake hardware. new spyder gears, yukon axles and outer axle wheelbearings. new oem oil pan. flowtech headers, platnum autolite spark plugs, fordracing 9mm wires, accel cap&rotor and coil. Isky stage II camshaft, about 9,000 miles on it. new headgaskets when cam installed, engine was pulled and resealed.I have pics of it. Edlebrock replacement timing chain. 3 year old motorcraft battery biggest one i could get from ford at the time. Front springs were replaced bout 4 years ago because one snaped.
cons, Rust.... tailgate, over rearwheels and by doors. needs rearend gears and carrier. i have new gears i will give to buyer. 3.55's. brand new in box. truck does run and drive just vibrates over 60mph. Gas millage??? maybe if u dont mind getting 11mpg or so would be better with orignal tires on truck.
truck has not been regestered for bout 8 months but have started every weekend and driven up and down road. With this cam it sounds great, would sound better with tru duel exhaust. Passes ma inspection with flying colors.
