Hey all,

Got an issue with the EEC not advancing the ignition timing on a 1985 Bronco with the 4.9 inline six and sigle barrel carb. I have checked the entire ignition system and have traced the PIP signal going into the EEC-IV with an "O"-scope. The waveform looks good and clean. The EEC-IV is not sending out any timing information on the SPOUT terminal to the TFI module, so the timing isn't being advanced as the RPM's increase. My question is does the fuel inputs effect the way the EEC-IV outputs the timing signal, or can I assume the EEC-IV is defective? Is it possible for the something on the fuel side telling the EEC-IV not to output any timing information, and if so, which inputs do I need to check?

Thanks
